模型的「说明书」：用途、实测表现、已知短板，发布时该一起给。A model's 'spec sheet': intended use, measured performance, known shortcomings — issued with the model.
模型卡概念由 Mitchell 等人 2019 年提出：随模型发布的短文档。
它报告预期用途、在不同人群与条件下的实测表现、评测方法与已知局限。
提出动机：让模型在不适用的场景里少被误用。
如今主流模型发布普遍附带模型卡或同类文档。
The model card concept was proposed by Mitchell et al. in 2019: short documents accompanying released models.
They report intended use, benchmarked performance across groups and conditions, evaluation procedures, and known limitations.
The motivation: reduce misuse of models in contexts they are not suited for.
Major model releases now commonly ship model cards or equivalent documentation.
选模型别只看名字和跑分。模型卡是官方自己承认的短板清单，比任何评测文章都诚实。When choosing a model, don't stop at the name and scores. The model card is the vendor's own admitted shortcoming list — more honest than any review.
