模型一次能「看见」多少内容。超出部分它就完全不知道。How much the model can see at once — the page of text it can keep in mind while answering.
这是什么What it is
模型单次能处理的 token 总量上限，包含你的指令、给它的资料和它的回答。
超出的内容会被截断，不是「记不住」，是「这次没看见」。
The token budget for one request: system prompt, documents, conversation history and the reply all draw from it.
为什么需要知道Why it matters
这是最容易让人误判模型能力的地方。塞了 500 页文档进去却答不出来，往往是超窗了。It sets a hard ceiling on what can be asked. "It forgot what I told it" is usually a context-window limit, not a memory bug.
